Developing Story: Yao Ming Takes World’s Longest Selfie

Unconfirmed reports are coming out of Beijing that former NBA basketball player Yao Ming has set a new Guinness Book of World Record for the world’s longest selfie. Yao, who played for the Houston Rockets from 2002-2011, stands 7’-6” tall and has a wingspan of 7’-5”. By New Camera News calculations, by stretching his arm and tilting back his head, Yao may have taken a selfie with the camera as far back as 4’ away. The previous selfie record, 3’-9” by Miami Heat center Chris Bosh, taken after the Miami Heat won the NBA Championship in 2013.
