Microsoft Previews New Photosynth Software, Nobody Cares

This may have been coincidental, but the World yawned at the exact moment that Microsoft announced the new Photosynth software. The new version of the software lets users create “Dreamlike 3D” images. You know, kind of like Apple QuickTime back in 1997.

The new version of Photosynth was announced on the “Bing blogs.” No, we didn’t know that such a thing as “Bing blogs” existed either, so there you go. In any case,

Steve Ballmer, in his new role as Photosynth Evangelist, was ecstatic about the new imaging tool. When asked about how it was going to impact photography, Ballmer responded, “Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers!…” This went on for several minutes, which made us quite uncomfortable to say the least. Ballmer, for his part, began to sweat profusely along his prominent forehead, with dark pit stains forming around the chest and armpits of his formerly crisp blue dress shirt.

Just in case anyone is still reading, Microsoft is being coy about the release date of the new Photosynth, but inside sources say that it will not work on Android, require a Microsoft Live account, and will expose you to cryptic Silverlight dialog boxes like this:
