Melanin Photo Tours, helping photographers travel to distant lands to take photos of brown people since 1968, has announced a slew of new tours for the 2014 season.
Company president Reginald Archibald III proclaimed, “Our family has been bringing photographers closer to brown people (but not too close!) for nearly 50 years, and we’ve helped many photographers travel to exotic locations, take photos of the brown people living in poverty, and then come back home to the comfort of their Western lives and win photography contests. It’s a tradition that we cherish, and we’re happy to announce that for 2014 we are adding new tours!”
New tours for 2014 include:
- Manila, Philippines
- Soweto, South Africa
- Camden, New Jersey
- The South Side of Chicago (aka, the “Leroy Brown Tour”)
- Rio De Janiero (“Our Favorite Favelas” Tour)
- South Central Los Angeles
All Melanin tours include local photographer guides with extensive local knowledge, large, intimidating escorts, transportation, and Western-style accommodations “close enough to the action but not too close, if you know what I mean.” All customers are encouraged to sample the local cuisine, but those with delicate stomachs will be served hamburgers and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Melanin Photo Tours offers tours throughout Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa. They truly are “Trips of a Lifetime!”*
